There is a simple three-tier membership system in SPPEEx:

The KORU (Student) membership is free and allows potential Tapa SPPEEx members to be added to the database and give them access to the SPPEEx contact network.

The TAPA (Full membership): This membership requires a registration payment of NZ$50. Members recieve a SPPEEx T-Shirt.

The SPPEEx Whanau (Associative) membership: This level of membership is for recognised associations and partnership organisations as well as people who are friends of SPPEEx.

The SPPEEx TOA (15+ years in industry) membership: This level of membership is for recognition of long service that a SPPEEx member has contributed to the engineering profession.
