SPPEEx Website Launch

SPPEEx Launched their new website on the 17th of September this year. It was hosted in the Fale Pasifika at the University of Auckland. The Fale is one of the largest of it's kind and is contstructed primarily out of natural materials using wood laminate to provide strength to its' structure.

Humorous opening remarks by PITIC Trade Comissioner Chris Cocker were well recieved by all.

The construction of the Fale was overseen by the engineering firm HLK Jacob. Brian Jacobs of the firm, was keynote speaker and talked about the Fale as well as other projects in the pacific he was involved in.


SPPEEx President Randall Ahmu and Community Projects Officer Veronica Maka both shared on SPPEEx and the reason for the website launch, to promote SPPEEx and our goal of promoting Engineering among the people of the pacific.

Those in attendance were able to taste some Pacific flavoured food including Taro Sushi and vanilla Cassava Bonbons.
